Is your business eligible for 50% match-funding from the UK AI Upskilling Fund?

The AI Upskilling Fund is a £7M initiative by the UK government to increase the adoption of AI in the professional services sector.

Available to businesses with fewer than 250 people, the fund offers a subsidy for training courses delivered by eligible providers. This includes AI Essentials from General Purpose.

How much funding could I access?

The funding will cover up to 50% of training costs with a cap set according to the size of your business:

  • Less than 10 people: up to £2,500

  • Between 10 and 50 people: up to £5,000

  • Between 50 and 250 people: up to £10,000

Is my business eligible?

If your business is within one of the following industries and employs less than 250 people, then answer is probably “yes”. You can even apply as a single-person business.

  • Law firms

  • Management consultants

  • Advertising agencies

  • Recruiters

  • Architects

  • R&D labs

  • Refer to the UK government website for a complete list

To be completely sure, you’ll need check your organisation’s SIC code is one of the following: 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 77, 78, or 82.

Be quick! Applications close on Sunday 18th August 2024

Applications for the fund must be submitted by the deadline of 18 August 2024 and all training funded through the scheme must be completed by 31 March 2025.

To apply, businesses need to provide detailed information about the proposed training, including its relevance to their operations and how it will contribute to their strategic goals.
